Md. Mizanur Rahaman Mizan (মু. মিজানুর রহমান মিজান) is a Bangladeshi educational researcher, writer, and teacher by training. His work is deeply rooted in secondary education and teacher education, and he is widely recognized for his commitment to research-driven insights and accessible educational writing. He often writes under the single name Mizan, sometimes uses the abbreviation MRM, and is publicly known on social media as Mizanur R. Mizan.

Originally trained to teach English and Bangla at the secondary level, Mizan has since evolved into a reflective academic and editor. His interests bridge classroom practice, curriculum design, educational reform, and public understanding of assessment and pedagogy.

  • TESOL School: A curated blog site dedicated to TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Although Mizan does not claim scholarly expertise in TESOL, he oversees the site’s editorial direction. Articles are written by anonymous contributors and edited under his supervision.

Current Appointment

In 2025, Md. Mizanur Rahaman Mizan was selected by the Bankers’ Selection Committee (BSC) of Bangladesh Bank for the position of Officer (Rural Credit). He is to be appointed by Janata Bank PLC, one of Bangladesh’s leading state-owned commercial banks. This transition into public service marks a new phase in his professional journey, where he continues to uphold educational values in broader institutional contexts.
