The good news is that Instagram users can now download reels posted by others and save them to their camera roll. Meta’s own app currently has 2.35 billion monthly subscribers. Who are constantly creating, uploading and sharing Reels videos on Instagram. About 6 million reels are generated on the platform every day. But despite its popularity, there was no download option for users of Reels videos on Instagram. Now this platform has brought that feature for the customers.
But not all Instagram users can download Reels videos. Only people using public accounts can download Insta Reels. Users with public accounts can also download reels posted by others and save them to their camera roll. These saved reels can be shared on other platforms outside of the Instagram app. Another new option has been added to the Instagram app. Only creators can decide which of their followers can download Instagram videos.
For those who don’t want them, the option to download Insta Reels can be disabled. Users need to tap on the ‘Share’ icon to download Instagram Reels. Then they will find the download option and click on it to download the Insta Reels.
How to download Instagram reels:
- Open Instagram and go to the reel you want to save.
- Tap the share icon.
- Now click on ‘Add to Story’ option.
- Zoom in on the Reels video you want to download, so that the story layout fits your screen.
- Select the ‘Save’ option by tapping on the three-dot button.
- The reel will now be saved in your phone storage.
This feature of downloading Insta Reels is launched only for the United States users. But the feature will be launched soon in different parts of the world.
